Buy Fresh, Buy Local – Like at a Classic Towns Farmers Market

One of the best things about living in Greater Philadelphia is our access to fresh, local foods. And there’s no better place to find them than at one of the many farmers markets that will soon be sprouting up throughout our region. There are more than 80 at last count, and they’re all as varied and unique as the fruits, vegetables, and prepared foods they offer. A few of them are award winners, too.

A Classic Comeback – Cliff Lee’s Return to the Phillies

Spring is slowly getting here, but down in Clearwater, it arrived nearly a month ago when the Phillies opened spring training. Sure, we’re all excited for Cliff Lee’s return, but many eager fans may forget just why Cliff, his wife, Kristen, and two children – son Jaxon, 9, and daughter Maci, 7 – chose to return not just to the Phillies, but also to Philadelphia.

Make it a Day at the 2011 Old House Fair

The annual Old House Fair is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at the Germantown Friends School. Hosted by the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia , The Fair is one of the longest running programs of its kind in the country and is perfect for people who currently own an older or historic home or are considering purchasing one.
