Budget Travel named Kennett Square one of “America’s Coolest Downtowns” in 2010.

Kennett Square’s charm, amenities, and attractions like Longwood Gardens, Chadds Ford Winery, Winterthur Museum & Gardens, and the Brandywine River Museum which celebrates the artistic talents of the Wyeth family, are some of the many reasons to come see this classic community. Of course, there are many more.

Kennet’s Square’s culinary offerings and acclaimed restaurants are one of its largest draws. Conde Nast magazine named Talula’s Table one of the toughest tables to get in the country. Reservations are often made a year in advance. Other favorites include Half Moon Saloon and Restaurant, which was featured on the Travel Channel for their Wild Game Burgers, and La Michoacana, a renowned Mexican Ice Cream parlor that has been featured in the New York Times among other national publications.

You can also enjoy culture in Kennett Square. The Kennett Symphony performs six times a year, holding concerts at local venues including Longwood Gardens. Prefer rock, world, jazz, folk, or country? Check out Kennett Flash, an intimate performing arts space on Sycamore Alley.

When planning your visit to Kennett Square, keep its special events calendar in mind. The Memorial Day Parade in May, the Mushroom Festival in September, the Kennett Brewfest in October, and the Holiday Downtown Open House in late November are some of its many can’t-miss events.

Making the trip? The Bed & Breakfast at Walnut Hill, Bancroft Manor, Foxcreeks Bed & Breakfast, and Kennett House Bed & Breakfast allow you to enjoy the charm and hospitality of Kennett Square.
