A number of new restaurants and specialty shops along Main Street enhance Lansdale’s downtown and serve as destinations for visitors and residents alike.

Lansdale Borough is lovely anytime of year, but special events and festivals are a great time to take a closer look.

First Fridays happen monthly and The Lansdale Farmers’ Market is held throughout the summer. Annual events include Lansdale Day, Festival of the Arts, Under the Lights Car Show, Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival, Oktoberfest, and the Founders Day Celebration, which celebrates Lansdale Borough’s incorporation and culminates with fireworks. There’s also plenty of pageantry with parades for Mardi Gras and Memorial Day, as well as holiday celebrations like Tree Lighting ceremonies and TubaChristmas concerts.

No matter when you visit, you can always learn a lot about Lansdale’s history. The Lansdale Historical Society is thriving and assists in promoting the Borough’s heritage through monthly programming and special events. The Jenkins Homestead is the epicenter for history in Lansdale. The home of one of the region’s original settlers, and later a refuge for survivors of the Battle of Germantown, the Jenkins Homestead now allows visitors to look into Lansdale Borough’s past through artifacts and a research library.
