Moorestown residents revel in the abundant recreational, cultural, and entertainment opportunities.

Residents enjoy the benefit of three private golf courses. In addition, the Township owns 670
acres of open space and more than 20 parks. Favorite activities include fishing and canoeing on Strawbridge Lake, taking in the scenery of Swede Run Fields, and sledding on Stokes Hill where the Flexible Flyer was invented in 1889.

Come nighttime and weekends, Moorestown’s residents dine at one of its many downtown restaurants, see a movie at the nearby Moorestown Mall, enjoy the fanfare and pageantry of its holiday parades and annual festivals, or take in a performance by the Moorestown Theater Company, the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey, or the West Jersey Chamber Symphony.

Those who desire taking a more active role in the arts have many opportunities. The Moorestown School of Music offers lessons in violin, cello, and piano, while the prestigious Perkins Center for the Arts offers classes in art, music, and dance. The Perkins Center also serves as the venue for the annual summer concert series. Lasting five weeks, it begins in July.
