Riverton

Young families especially favor Riverton. Its school system is superb, and the local library hosts a number of events for children including Tot Time and Story Hour.

Community oriented, family friendly, easily walkable, and not too far from Philadelphia, singles, families, and seniors all hold Riverton in high regard.

Its wide, tree-lined walkways allow residents to stroll from residential neighborhoods to Riverton's commercial center to gather groceries, relax and enjoy a bite to eat, or savor an ice cream cone before making their way to the river. As darkness descends, gas lamps illuminate the sidewalks greeting residents for the walk home.

The library is a meeting place for many. Additionally, Riverton is home to a number of churches, community groups, and neighborhood associations making it easy for residents to get involved and get acquainted.

Riverton's housing stock reflects its Victorian roots. The community is home to an incredible number of stately and well-maintained homes. Some border the river, others can be found more inland. The eastern half has experienced much of the recent growth. Here is where you can find more contemporary construction. Home prices run the spectrum from $300,000 to $1,200,000 with the median price being $400,000. Rents in Riverton range from $800 to $1,800.
