When it's time to play, Wayne and its surrounding area is where you want to be. Hundreds of acres of preserved open space are available, many with hiking and biking trails and other recreational amenities. Plans are in place to expand this offering, giving residents greater access to the region's scenic beauty while enhancing its walkable nature.

Borough and village residents also benefit from more than 20 parks. Favorites include the 93-acre Skunk Hollow Park complete with nature trails and fishing holes, Fenimore Woods and its large picnic pavilion and playground, and the John L. Capelli Driving Range. A number of fitness clubs, yoga studios, and athletic leagues can all be found in Wayne. For golf, many find the beautiful courses of the nearby Brandywine Valley to be worth the trip.

The countless colleges and universities along the Main Line also provide a number of opportunities. Plays, musical performances, and sporting events are all easily accessible. Additionally, the Wayne Arts Center offers instruction for all ages in the visual arts, crafts, music, and drama and hosts a number of lectures and exhibitions throughout the year. The Radnor Memorial Library provides resources and programming for all ages, with story hours, author talks, and special programs about the history of the area.

When it's time for food and fun, Wayne Avenue is wonderful. Lined with a number of specialty shops, bistros, and bars, it's the center of this vibrant village. From fine meals at its many restaurants to major motion pictures at the Anthony Wayne Theater, much is available on Wayne's main street.
