Sidewalk cafes, specialty boutiques, and a wonderful array of attractions in the surrounding countryside are just a few reasons to visit West Chester.

Music and arts festivals, bicycle races, house and gallery tours, and more — visiting West Chester means venturing to a place where something is always happening. The Borough and Chamber of Commerce sponsor many events throughout the year including the May Arts Festival, Gallery Walk, Restaurant Festival, Harvest Festival, Halloween Parade, and Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration.

A short ride away is a number of attractions that include Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum, Chadds Ford Winery, the Brandywine Battlefield, and Valley Forge. All are perfect excursions on their own, but add to the West Chester experience.

West Chester University also hosts a number of events, including concerts, lectures, comedians, plays, performances, athletic events, and more.
